OVERVIEW

Campers will get to participate at the Rodgers Recreation Center houses the University’s athletic and recreational facilities, including the gymnasium, fitness center, dance studio, training rooms and a hall of fame area. Conference rooms, offices and locker rooms are located throughout the facility.

Centrally located in Newport, RI, Salve Regina University is the perfect location to host an overnight youth volleyball summer camp! We’re excited to host the Revolution Volleyball Camps at Salve Regina University. Join us and improve your volleyball skills this summer!

Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. Each camper will be assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels. Adjustments to the groups may be made throughout the week to provide campers with opportunities to train with and compete against different players. Drills, games, and scrimmages are designed to help each camper learn, improve, and have fun!

Sebastian NoordzyHead Volleyball Coach at Salve Regina University

Coach Noordzy enters his fifth season at the helm of the Salve Regina women’s volleyball program, having been named the sixth head coach in program history in February 2020. In his first season of competition, Noordzy guided the Seahawks to an appearance in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals. Coach Noordzy was also an AVCA 30 Under 30 recipient in 2023

Under Noordzy’s leadership, the program has achieved significant milestones, including:
  • Coaching five CCC All-Conference players.
  • Mentoring numerous Academic All-Conference and All-Region honorees.
Coaching Career Highlights
Before joining Salve Regina, Noordzy built an impressive coaching résumé:
  • Johnson & Wales University: As an assistant coach, he helped the Wildcats secure their fifth consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship and advance to their third straight NCAA Regional final.
  • South Kingstown High School: Served as an assistant coach for the girls’ volleyball program.
  • University of Rhode Island (URI): Assisted the men’s club volleyball team, leading them to the NCVF D1AAA Club National Championship in 2019.
A standout collegiate player, Noordzy was a four-year starter at the University of Rhode Island, where he served as a two-year captain. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in history.

What to Expect

At Revolution Volleyball Camps you’ll receive individualized volleyball training through a superior curriculum regardless your age or ability level. We want young volleyball players to improve in every aspect of their game; our camps put a focus on individual skill development while incorporating drills and matches to emphasize teamwork.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Overnight Campers: Check in at 12PM-1PM Monday. Campers should be picked up at 12PM Thursday.

Extended Day Campers: Check in at 12PM-1PM Monday (9AM every other day). Campers should be picked up at 8:30PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and at 12PM Thursday. (Lunch and dinner are included)

Make sure campers bring all necessary volleyball equipment (knee pads, shoes, etc.), and a refillable water bottle.

What to Bring to Camp

Below is a suggested list of items to bring to camp. We suggest that campers do not bring expensive personal items such as cell phones or laptops. Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to camp to contact their guardians, but they are not allowed on the field during training sessions. Please label every article you bring to camp. All personal items are the responsibility of each camper. Revolution Volleyball and its camp staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items.
