Camp Director

Brendan McGourn
Brendan McGournHead Coach at Northeastern University

Northeastern Director of Athletics and Recreation Jim Madigan announced on January 31, 2025 that Brendan McGourn has been named as the next head coach of the women’s volleyball program. McGourn arrives at Northeastern from Fairfield, where he helped guide the program to consecutive MAAC championships and NCAA appearances.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brendan as the next head coach of our program here at Northeastern,” Madigan said. “Brendan has a proven track record for recruiting student-athletes who can compete athletically and thrive academically at the highest levels, and his commitment to the holistic development of our student-athletes stood out to us from the start. The combination of his passion and technical expertise of the sport greatly excites us for the future of our women’s volleyball program under his leadership.”

McGourn spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Fairfield, where he was involved in all areas of the program as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. The Stags went 43-19 (.694) overall in his two years, including a 33-3 (.917) mark in league play, highlighted by back-to-back MAAC Championships and NCAA tournament appearances.

“I am thrilled and honored to join the Northeastern University community as the head women’s volleyball coach,” McGourn said. “Northeastern’s commitment to excellence both academically and athletically is something I deeply admire, and I am excited to help build a program that reflects those values. My focus will be on creating a culture of hard work, teamwork, and continuous improvement, both on and off the court. I can’t wait to get started and work with our student-athletes to achieve greatness together.”

Eleven student-athletes earned all-conference accolades during McGourn’s time at Fairfield, while 19 collected all-academic honors.

Prior to Fairfield, McGourn worked at Yale for eight seasons where he was a part of four Ivy League Championship teams (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019). The Bulldogs were 102-43 overall and 66-17 in league play with McGourn on the sidelines. In addition to on-court instruction, he was also responsible for team travel, individual and team practice planning, and worked directly with athletics marketing, promotions and alumni relations.

McGourn won back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships as a student-athlete at Springfield College in 2011 and 2012. After graduating from Springfield in May 2013, he joined the coaching staff and helped lead the Pride to a third consecutive national title that fall.

Camp Director

Jaime Snyder
Jaime SnyderAssociate Head Coach at Northeastern University

Newly appointed women’s volleyball head coach Brendan McGourn has announced the newest addition to his coaching staff, with the hiring of Jaime Snyder to serve as Associate Head Coach.

Snyder joins the Huskies from Division II D’Youville University, where she served as the head coach for both men’s and women’s volleyball. During her time with the Saints, Snyder led the D’Youville women’s team to its first conference championship win and first NCAA DII Tournament appearance in program history. Her roster posted a strong 3.76 GPA last fall, after enforcing a semester requirement of 3.35 or higher. She also assisted in the game day operations of both men’s and women’s programs, including the teams’ travel, fundraising, and scheduling, to face tough non-conference opponents in preparation for conference play.

Prior to her time as head coach of D’Youville, Snyder spent four years at Hartford University as an assistant women’s volleyball coach. Along with her coaching duties, Snyder once again showcased a wide range of skills including scouting, recruiting, budgeting, and even maintaining the program’s social media presence. Before Hartford, she worked as a graduate assistant for Smith College’s women’s volleyball team for two years (2017-19) and also saw time as an assistant coach at St. John Fisher College from 2015-17.

Snyder graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2015 with a bachelor’s in exercise science, before earning her masters in exercise and sport studies in 2019 from Smith College.

Camp Director

Emma Parkhurst
Emma ParkhurstAssistant Coach at Northeastern University

Head Coach Brendan McGourn has announced Emma Parkhurst as the newest addition to his coaching staff as Assistant Coach.

Parkhurst joins the Huskies from Division III William Smith, where she helped lead the volleyball program to its first NCAA Division III Championship appearance in 2024, with a program-best 22-7 record. She mentored five All-Liberty League selections, three AVCA All-Region First-Team honorees, and three AVCA All-Americans. In 2023, Parkhurst guided William Smith to a 15-10 record and helped secure the second seed in the Liberty League playoffs, mentoring three All-Liberty League selections and two AVCA All-Americans. In 2022, she contributed to the program’s strong inaugural season with a 16-6 record.

Prior to William and Smith Parkhurst coached at the University of Southern Maine, aiding in a 13-win season and mentoring six All-Academic selections.

A Hamilton College graduate in neuroscience, Parkhurst was a three-year starter and captain for the Continentals volleyball team, earning over 1,000 assists and three triple-doubles. She also served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Softball Camps Reviews
I really love how Revolution camps really spend the time to emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship in the game. Through a combination of drills, games, and team-building activities, my child not only improved their volleyball skills but also learned important life lessons that will be helpful to them beyond the court.
